2006 Fundraising Dinner & Grant Awards Ceremony Hosted by Staples

The 2006 annual teacher grant awards night was generously hosted by Staples Corporation on Monday, May 1st. The awards ceremony and fundraiser dinner was held at Staples' corporate headquarters in Framingham. The evening consisted of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, welcome speeches from AEFI President Cindy Hoyle, Senator Karen Spilka and Ashland Schools Superintendent Dr. Richard Hoffmann, plus fine dining choices of poached salmon, roast tenderloin and chicken saltimbocca.  Teacher grants were awarded by Doreen Nichols of Staples, and Cece Doucette presented the Donor Awards.  The evening concluded with raffle winner announcements and silent auction results.  Click here for details from the evening's program, or here to see the write-up in the Ashland Tab.

2005 Awards Ceremony

Our 2005 Grant Awards Ceremony was held May 16th to honor our educators and supporters. Last year's award recipients and student beneficiaries reported enthusiastically about how their grants have been applied this year. Then Senator Karen Spilka spoke about the cautiously optimistic outlook for education in Massachusetts. Next, Dr. Richard Hoffmann, Superintendent of Schools in Ashland, illustrated the importance of following one's dreams and how innovative educational programs can help them come true. AEFI president Cindy Hoyle presented the teacher grant awards and Cece Doucette, from our Board of Directors, recognized the generosity of our donors.

2004 Computer Sponsorship Program

On April 1, 2004 we launched our “Computer Sponsorship Campaign” with the goal of raising enough funds to replace 28 out-dated computers at the Henry Warren Elementary School. We are thrilled to report all 28 computers received sponsorship!

2004 Awards Ceremony

Our 2004 Grant Awards Ceremony was held May 17, 2004 in honor of our educators and supporters. Representative Karen Spilka spoke about education in Massachusetts and Dr. Richard Hoffmann, Superintendent of Schools in Ashland, discussed the Ashland Schools, Today and Tomorrow. Marcia Bornstein, of Middlesex Savings Bank, presented the teacher grant awards and Cece Doucette, from our Board of Directors, reviewed the program donors. Cindy Hoyle, current AEF President, gave the closing remarks.

We'd like to extend a warm thank you to Staples for sponsoring this program, and to all of the community members who purchased tickets.
